Top 10 New Years Resolutions

1. Lose Weight: It appears this oldie but goodie is still the top New Years Resolution for most people.

2. Stop Smoking: Following really closely behind losing weight is the desire among smokers to stop smoking. It seems that due to the stressful economy

many people who have quit smoking have started back again, and many of those who wish to quit feel that they are too stressed out to do so at this time. But

most do still have a desire to quit sometime in the upcoming year.

3. Exercise More: Some that don't necessarily feel that they need to lose weight do feel that they need to exercise more in order to become healther.

4. Eating Healthier: Tied with exercising more, many people know they should be eating better than they should, less sweets and processed foods,

and more veggies and fruits.

5. Save More Money: Following really closely behind peoples health concerns are financial concerns. More people would like to save more money, and tighten

up their budgets, as well as get their financies in order.

6. Get Out of Debt: Also along financial lines those who are to in debt to save money at this time want to work harder to get out of debt.

7. Go to Church More: It is nice to see that more people would like to make a stronger commitment to their religions and attend church more.

8. Better Job: A job with better pay, better benifits, or a better location are all high

priorities.

9. Be a Better Person: I tied these things all together in the being a better person category, but answers given here were: Be a better listener, be kinder topeaple, and do more good deeds.

10. Spend More Time Sprucing Up Home: The last of the top 10 resolutions is to take better care of ones home, get repairs done, clean things better, organize,

and get rid of clutter.

Those are the top 10 New Years Resolutions of normal people. But I would like to share some of the other resolutions I got from people that may not be as popular or as common but are still pretty good.

Just missing the top 10 list were:

Buy a new home

Cook at home more

and believe it or not buy a Nintendo Wii

Others that had only 1 or 2 people choose them were:

Teach children better manners

Spend more time with loved ones (I am surprised this one was not higher)

Start a new hobby (again surprised more people did not say this)

Status Quo - It's working for them, so they want things to stay the same

Get a Pet

Stop drinking

Laugh more

Stop swearing

See more beauty in small things

Publish a book

Drink less coffee

Eat less chocolate

Catch up on Emails

Make bed everyday

Meditate more

So how about you? Do you share the desire to make any of these New Years Resolutions or do you have one that is unique and all your own?

What ever your New Years Resolution is make sure to begin it as quickly as possible so you can set yourself up to be successful, the longer you procrastinate there will be more of a chance that you will not succeed.

What ever your resolutions I wish you all the very best of luck at achieving them and a Very Happy and Healthy New Year!!!
